Blastship
A downloadable game for Windows
- The initial GMTK 2019 release files have been marked as such, this will probably get some feature and bugfix updates.
- Can be played by 2 players over the internet. Or so Bord hopes, extrapolating this fact from being able to run 2 copies on the same machine.
- Yes, you will need to use some kind of NAT punchthrough like Port Forwarding or virtual tunneling like Zerotier.
- The titlescreen is a fully featured sandbox. Things will behave exactly as they would in multiplayer so you can use this time to get used to the controls.
- Believe me or not, you can totally win this game.
- Only one ship can move per turn. This doesn't mean you shouldn't build more than one ship/bomb. Combine different bombs to defeat the enemy.
- Exploding a bomb on a main base will deal direct integrity damage to the owner of the base for each tile the bomb covers, so a powerful bomb can often win the game instantly. Don't let it come to that.
- Iron can produce wrecks that block ships. You can use this to build temporary barricades.
- Scuttling removes all live crew from a ship. A ship without crew will sink after 3 turns.
- Remotes can detonate ships even if they have no crew, so long as the ship isn't currently EMP'd.
